Days of being Hectic !

Just as the above blog title implies, it is going to be a post full of hectic-ness. I shall list it why so?

The past few weeks have been spent into preparing for my Maths O level retake. I was extremely busy and stressed up to the point that I felt like I wanted to die. Now that my Maths O level retake has been concluded, I am instead, spending day after day stressing over my results that moderation does its nasty work on all of us.

Recently, I have been feeling very rather burnt out and tired. To the point that I do sometimes dozed off in class in poly. How awesome. Fancy sleeping in class…not.

Even today, right after I had left class right after the lesson had ended, I still had to rush off to Tan Tock Seng Hospital to visit my grandfather who may have to undergo a dangerous operation due to his right leg bones being broken. It will be a dangerous procedure, because of his age, weak heart and his weak constitution. I am seriously worried for him. I really pray that he will be fine !

How he broke his leg? It was an accident as he was trying to get up from his chair the previous day and he slipped and fellon his leg. Old bones break easily.

Even so, I spent 3 hours by his side. Those 3 hours were really unexpected as I met a former schoolmate. She is now an ITE student nurse in training, and her fellow nurses are all similiar as well as those from NYP. So many cute and pretty teenage nurses. LOL. I was amazed that there were so many young nurses man; most like about my age like that.

Then again, the most irksome thing is that the snack machine, stopped dropping the snack whcih I had keyed in. I was totally fed up, as I was hungry and the snack cannot be taken out.

Shall sleep soon. Tomorrow morning will be visiting my grandfather again.

A day of many things…or not?

Returned to school after recovering from stomach’s food poisoning or whatever (slightly recovered)… Got people care for me !! =D Some of the guys and gals asked me if I was alright and about why I didn’t attend school. Wow ! I didn’t really expected that. So well, thanks guys !!

Was made a team leader again fot friday’s module just like last week. I guess it went pretty fine. This faci/our mentor praised me saying I had “great talent” =O

So anyhow in the morning, both Samuel and myself were like so ever panting, cos we “marathon-ed” 14 flights of stairs till the 6th floor so as not to be late for class as the lift area was totally packed to the full. Being late results in reduction of module grade. So yeah.

Samuel then collected $5 from all 24 of us to pay for the pizzas and birthday cakes, and F&B; all just for Khairi, Eileen, Zufiah, Erica; the October babes !! Ethan and Samuel went to collect the pizzas sometime at 10.30am, when the lesson was still ongoing (express permission from our mentor); and boy !! They returned with 5 boxes of large pizzas and 3 smaller boxes of pizzas, chocolate cake, and 5 bottles of different types of soda.

Its really been fun watching the October babes attempting to blow out the one of the four candles specially for them. It was because there were four of them and four candles. One candle for one. In the end, the chocolate cake was pretty much wasted. It ended up being “bombed” onto everyone’s faces. A few bites of the chocolate cakes managed to survived into some of us’ tummies ! xD

So anyway, my team’s final presentation did not really go along quite too well. Oh well. Just have to buck up and put in better effort in the next week’s lesson. Which reminds me. My O level retake is in about a little more than a week’s  time.

I hope that I can rewrite history then and therefore make it towards Temasek Polytechnic for the course I have always worked hard ! Its going to be an even more difficult road from here on. But I will never give up the good fight !  I must press on for what I believe in. I can do it ! :D

One last thing before I end this post. I believe this new class of mine for Semester Two seems to have bonded quite well; as this is only the second week of school, and we are all already exchanging handphone numbers. And also when I was returning home via Toa Payoh, a man stopped me and asked if I could spare him some bit of time. Initially I refused, but then, I relented when he asked me a third time. So I just listened to what he had to say; about rising heart problems in Singapore. And before I left along to the bus interchange, he said if I were working and when I replied that I am still studying in a poly, he sounded so surprised. He said I am tall and plus that, my face looked so mature, like an adult man. Goodness ! If I looked like that to others, then I must be aging pretty fast? Perhaps when I am in my twenties, I may look like I am in my thirties?ArghhH !! I don’t want to be so old !! I know it will be an eventually, but then again, who wants to be old fast?

What a week !

This is clearly a really one hectic week. I got some lousy grading from some facis despite my trying my best. Somehow I cant wait to rewrite my history for my upcoming O levels. Pray to God that I can make it. I feel that my preparations seem not to be quite enough throughly.

Then, my laptop LCD screen broke down which resulted in my unable to use the laptop for two days. Great. Very unlucky.

Then, I got an injured right leg. I have some pain when I walk around. It might be seen as normal by others, but not to my foot. It sort of have the feeling of muscle crampings whenever I walk.

I recall there’s more; but I somehow forgot them, perhaps due to a bad headache I have been having for the past few days. Oh well, whatever it is, I do hope the following week will get better.  The engineer has fixed my laptop already. That’s one good thing to take note for.

Hmm. Maybe this might be one of the bad weeks I have. No choice. Well, I’ll just grit my teeth and bear with it. It’ll be all over soon !

Semester Two

I guess the first day back in RP during the start of Semester Two got off on a bad note. Fancy getting a stomachahe the moment I stepped onto the campus. Guess its due to the banana I ate in the morning. Should have known better than not to eat a banana in the morning. =.=

It was all awkward to begin with; being in a new class with new people. New environment. New facilitators. New modules. Pretty much a weird atmosphere, from stepping into the class unknowing of people around us. The initial awkwardness of being unable to communicate with such a set of unfamiliar people. Slowly, we all warmed up with each other and began to learn more about each other.

The facilitator seems to have alot of harsh and strict regulations in place for us for her module. Aiyo tough. Even minor things, also must have tough regulations. I don’t know if I  might survive this module with some satisfactory grades?

The final presentation is sort of a flump. I don’t know. Not very well done, for most of us. I hate the fact that the facilitator kept on calling me up to express my opinions.  I am a lone wolf; a loner; an introvert.

But there’s some good in the day today as well. Met up with W15R people ! Its true. I guess most of us feels rather nostalgic, as most of us missed those times we shared with each other. So therefore, it kind of feels good to eat out with them. Memories like this is rather precious…

Went home feeling so terribly tired. Felt totally beaten up. Guess this is what a first day return to school feels like?

Survey at Singapore General Hospital (SGH)

Today, I was supposed to return to the Singapore General Hospital for a survey check for some new study on Music Ear Syndrome (MDS).

Initially, I had planned to go directly to the General Hospital, but since I had time to kill, I decided to lounge around Novena; as there was something I had to buy (it was something I had been putting off for several weeks). But despite my 20 minutes exploring around Novena, I still reached the General Hospital at about 3.15pm, which is still a while before my schelduled appointment at 4pm. So, I just simply sat there and played with my PSP for an hour !

At 4pm, it was still not my turn as the audiologist have yet to appear. Only at about 15 minutes after, she then appeared. She was a nice and a friendly person and guided me throughout the survey done and also spoke to me a little about our own lifes and experience. Not a bad thing either.

Before I left, I had conversed with some familiar faces at the specialist department. I also received some free “e-tickets,” which number up to only two tickets and they were only two-way tickets from the SGH to anywhere via taxi rides. So basically, that’s that. I don’t really have much to update as this is quite a boring holiday…

A return to Bendemeer…

Returned to Bendemeer like so finally ever since I started Poly. It has truly been a long time. Its the first time I returned since I started Poly. Oh. Am I repetiting myself here? Then, I shall move on.

The guard thought that I was a O level Private Candidate reporting for exams. But its not. I am also a Private Candidate, but not for this paper. Its English Oral. I am retaking other subjects.

So back to topic at hand. Walked around to find Li Ching there too ! She also was visiting as she was on holidays too like me. We had a long chat together with Miss Madeline Wong. Mdm Jamie Chua joined us shortly. Haha.

Unfortunately, many teachers were not quite available to visit as it was a busy day. Either O level Orals, or went home supposedly. But. Other than Miss Madeline Wong, I had a long chat with Mr Michael Lee and Mr Dave. Its been fun truly. ;D

Met up with Red Cross people. So many changes. Re-connected with old friends. Grouped myself with Amira, Gwendolyn, Saritha, and other girl whose name I forgot.

Its been a delightful visit. Would love to visit again sometime soon. (:

Finally…its holidays ! :D

Final exams for Semester One has finally ended two days ago and now its officially holidays ! Such a whale of time. xD

Right after our final test; (Eugene, Khai, Xinyi, Xylia, Daphne, Atikah, Halizah, Felix, Ben, Jamus, Nicolette, Fauzi, and myself) all went to makan for lunch at a nearby canteen by the entrance of the polytechnic. Only I forgotten the name of that place, I think its HCBCC or something. But that’s not really important.

Right after the lunch, we went off to Marina Square for bowling, which we had played for two rounds. It was really fun, competiting with each other. I was initially quite bad as I haven’t been bowling for quite a while. Like Hazilah said that I probably needed time to warm up first. Truly, by the second game, I became much better. Eugene and Felix were quite awesome; their scores are literally close to each other like some tug-of-war. Eugene defeated Felix by just a mere 4 points. Its really very very close.

Fauzi, Ben and Jamus came in late soon after and I nailed Fauzi for joking with my bag. He stuffed a roll of wire into my bag and I didn’t even notice. LOL ! Imagine Khai saying that my look of surprise was really funny? Gamed at the Arcade for quite a while. Laughed at Ben and Jamus at a game console. They were literally “wrestling” the game console off. Haha. xD

Prior to that bowling game, we had spent almost an hour just to walk to the bowling alley. Reason being is that the girls wanted to window shop at the stores along the way to the bowling alley in the City Link.

So after our game, we stopped at KFC for dinner. Felix and I bought ourselves MacDonalds and takeaway them to KFC where the rest are eating. We chatted for a long while and even took some memento photos as that day was our last day together as a class.

MRT-ed home with Eugene, Atikah and Felix. Both Felix and myself alighted at Toa Payoh, where we parted ways. Reached home, at about 10pm+, only to go out again with my laptop in hand to Yihui’s house to help him with his project. I finally got back home at about 12am+ after both Yihui and I chatted for a long while together and also with his father. Really Tired !!

Yesterday, I woke up with an aching body all over, which I think could be the result from the bowling game from yesterday. So well, I shall start my mugging from today onwards for my upcoming O levels. Wish me luck !! =D

Unlucky Day.

This morning, I was up bright and early by about 3-4am in the morning.

So…I left for school quite earlier for breakfast before going to school at Causeway Point, which is nearby. But ! I fell asleep on the MRT as usual, like any other mornings during the ride to school. Only, today’s different; probably the second time it has happened. I overslept pass my usual stop at Woodlands all the way till Yew Tee.

Power isn’t it? It has taken me about another ten minutes from Yew Tee to travel back to Woodlands.

Then, as I stepped into class, I got a sudden nosebleed. I don’t know what had happened. Really unlucky today. Is my day going to get any more worse? We shall find out later in the day then.

Ah yes. Again, I also don’t know why a sudden wave of tiredness swept through me and made me so tired to the extent that I actually fell asleep in class; not that it matters to me anyway. And the root beer drink which I bought from 7-11 at level one of RP, was literally glued together. It was difficult to extract it open. Thanks be to Ping Hwee who helped to open it successfully; other than Nicolette and Xinyi. :) Also, my cup noodles, had no seasoning. The noodles so bland that I almost felt like not eating it. But I still finished it; otherwise my money would have gone to waste.

Today’s lesson is so difficult…sighhss……

Meetings after a long, long time.

Three of my father’s church friends came over to my place two nights ago. I can say this is a “meeting after a long time,” as one of them, Yvonne, used to be my former pastor in the kids church when I was much younger; it goes way back.  There were three of them; the other two were a man in his early thirties and a young girl who just graduated from university.

Also, my father bought back several chickens and potato wedges (those kind of potato with the gravvy on top), as well as coleshaw; all from Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). The reason being is that he accquired $30 worth of KFC coupons for free from somewhere, so he just decided not to waste them.

So the three visitors came over just to visit my youngest brother, as he was sick; and also to converse with my father in part. They were all rather friendly and kept on talking to me about all sorts of things; its like only catching up with Yvonne. The other two, we just conversed lightly, like for example, we talked about anime and dramas. We shared with each other about some of the better shows to watch. :D We also talked with each other about what life throws at us; a little personal, but its fine. Hahas…

They left about 9pm-10pm. Roughly in between.

So, as for yesterday…

I finally went to watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Its not bad. Better than the previous 3 Harry Potter movies I must say. :)

Eight more days to the actual National Day; and Singapore’s 44th Birthday !! =D
